1. Introduction
Welcome to AstroChiropractic! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, online services, and the chiropractic treatments provided by us. By accessing our website or booking an appointment with us, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please refrain from using our services.
Please note that these Terms may be updated periodically, and any changes will be posted here. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Our Services
At AstroChiropractic, we specialize in providing chiropractic care aimed at restoring spinal health, relieving pain, and promoting long-term wellness. Our services include:
- Spinal Manipulations/Adjustments: To restore spinal alignment and improve mobility.
- Soft Tissue Therapy: Including myofascial release and trigger point therapy to alleviate muscular tension.
- Injury Rehabilitation: Targeted exercises and therapies to support your recovery from acute injuries.
- Posture and Gait Assessment: Comprehensive evaluations to identify imbalances and optimize movement.
- Health and Wellness Care: Preventive care to improve your overall well-being and maintain spinal health.
- Exercise and Stretching Programs: Tailored to your needs to support rehabilitation and long-term wellness.
These services are designed to address both immediate health concerns and long-term goals. We also collaborate with other healthcare providers when necessary to ensure comprehensive care.
3. Booking and Use of Website
By using our online booking system, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- Accurate Information: You agree to provide true, accurate, and complete information when booking an appointment. This includes your personal health details, contact information, and, if applicable, your ACC claim number.
- Appointment Confirmation: When you book an appointment through our website, you will receive an email confirmation. Please check your confirmation details to ensure accuracy.
- Updates and Reminders: We will send appointment reminders and updates via email or SMS. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
4. ACC Claims
We are happy to accept ACC claims for eligible patients. To use ACC for treatment, the following conditions must be met:
- The injury must be acute and present at the time of treatment.
- The ACC claim must be less than one year old from the date of your visit.
- You must provide your ACC claim number when booking, which typically starts with two letters followed by a series of numbers (e.g., AB123456). If you don’t know your claim number, you can find it on your ACC correspondence or by calling 0800 222 070.
Please note that ACC claims older than one year are not eligible for treatment. If your claim is not accepted by ACC, you will be responsible for the full cost of treatment.
5. Cancellation and No-Show Policy
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. To help us manage our schedule and accommodate other patients, we ask for your cooperation with the following cancellation and no-show policies:
Cancellation Policy
- 24-Hour Notice: We require at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to another patient who may be in need of treatment.
- Late Cancellation Fee: If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, a $35 cancellation fee will apply. This fee helps cover the time and resources that were reserved for your appointment.
No-Show Policy
- If you fail to attend your scheduled appointment and do not notify us in advance, you will be charged a $35 no-show fee.
- If you miss your appointment, we will attempt to contact you twice: once at the time of your appointment and again the following day. If we cannot reach you within 24 hours, the no-show fee will apply.
Zero Contact Policy
- If you fail to show up for your appointment and we do not receive any communication from you within 24 hours, a cancellation fee of $35 will apply.
- In case of a no-show, we will attempt to contact you by phone or email. If no response is received, we reserve the right to charge the cancellation fee and consider the appointment forfeited.
Discretionary Waiver of Cancellation Fees
While we do have a cancellation fee in place, we understand that sometimes life circumstances prevent you from attending your appointment. AstroChiropractic reserves the right to waive or reduce the cancellation fee at our discretion, based on the situation at hand. If you miss your appointment but contact us with a valid reason, we may choose to waive or adjust the fee accordingly.
If you have any treatment packages or credit stored on your account, we may use this to cover the cancellation fee, depending on the balance available.
Late Arrivals
- If you arrive late for your scheduled appointment, we will try our best to accommodate you. However, if you are significantly late, we may need to shorten the time allocated for your treatment to ensure that we stay on schedule. You will still be charged for the full appointment if you arrive late.
6. Pricing and Payment
The cost of our chiropractic services is clearly outlined on our website. All prices are subject to change without notice, but we will honor the pricing at the time of your booking.
Payment Terms
- Payment at the Time of Appointment: Payments for chiropractic treatments are due at the time of your appointment. We accept payments via cash, EFTPOS, credit card, and bank transfer.
- Payment for Packages: The only exception to payment at the time of treatment is for care packages. Payment for 6-treatment and 12-treatment packages must be made in advance at the time of booking.
- Accepted Payment Methods: We accept cash, EFTPOS, credit cards, and bank transfer. Please ensure that payment is made promptly at the time of service.
Care Packages
To make your treatments more affordable, we offer care packages that include multiple visits at a discounted rate:
- 6-Treatment Package (Short-Term Care): Valid for one month from the date of purchase. This package includes your first appointment and 5 follow-up visits.
- 12-Treatment Package (Long-Term Care): Valid for two months from the date of purchase. This package includes your first appointment and 11 follow-up visits.
You can decide to purchase a package after your first appointment. If you choose to proceed, we will deduct the cost of the first visit from the package price.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
At AstroChiropractic, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. We collect, use, and store your information in compliance with New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020.
- We use the personal and health information you provide to offer chiropractic care and communicate with you about appointments, treatment plans, and relevant updates.
- Your data will not be shared with third parties unless required by law or with your explicit consent.

8. Health and Safety
We take your health and safety seriously. By booking an appointment with us, you confirm that:
- You have provided accurate health information to the best of your knowledge.
- You have informed us of any existing conditions, allergies, or medications that may affect your treatment.
- You will follow any health and safety instructions provided during your treatment.
AstroChiropractic adheres to strict infection control procedures and takes every measure to ensure your comfort and safety while in our care.
9. Limitation of Liability
While we strive to provide high-quality care, we cannot guarantee specific results from chiropractic treatments. You acknowledge that chiropractic care involves certain risks, and we are not liable for any injuries or complications arising from your treatment, except where required by law.
- Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for services rendered. We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential damages.
10. Modifications to Terms
AstroChiropractic reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and the updated Terms will become effective immediately upon posting. We recommend that you review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any changes.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from the use of our website or services will be resolved in accordance with New Zealand law.
